compensation作抽象名詞,一般常用作不可數(shù)名詞,意思是“補(bǔ)償,賠償”。后面常接介詞for,表示“損失〔損傷〕的賠償”。compensation作“賠償物”解或具體的一種賠償或補(bǔ)償時(shí),前面加不定冠詞a。compensation有時(shí)還指“收益,報(bào)酬,工資”。
