discern的基本意思是“看見(jiàn)”,指用雙眼看出某事物來(lái),用于引申,可指對(duì)感覺(jué)到的東西具有深刻的理解和辨別力。

discern可用作不及物動(dòng)詞,也可用作及物動(dòng)詞,作及物動(dòng)詞時(shí),后面可接名詞、代詞或that從句。
