雖然部分作家習(xí)慣用the author來(lái)代替自己（I/me），但不屬于正常用法。

author的意思是“作者”,專指從事文學(xué)作品創(chuàng)作的人; 特指男性作家; 與之相對(duì)的陰性名詞為authoress,但此詞現(xiàn)已很少使用; 引申可作“策劃者,造成…的人”解。
