curious to know和curious to hear都可以解釋為“很想知道……”的意思。 I am curious to know where he stays.我很想知道她呆在哪。

curious to relate和curious to say可單獨使用，意為“說來真奇怪”。 Curious to relate/say,the boy was not drowned.說來也奇怪，這個男孩沒有溺死。

curious后面可接how，what或者that引導(dǎo)的從句。 We felt curious how they would receive our advise.It is curious that the old man should remember the names of all his childhood friends.注意that從句中需用should。

curious的意思有二:一是“好奇的”,用于褒義時可指“好求知的”,用于貶義時可指“愛打聽的,愛管閑事的”,在句中可作主語或表語; 二是“奇妙的,稀奇的”,在句中主要用作主語,也可用于形式主語結(jié)構(gòu)。

curious可接that或wh-從句,其中that從句后的謂語動詞必須用其虛擬式; curious作定語時,多半用作貶義。

curious一般不用very修飾,不用于比較級和最高級。
