flip可用作不及物動詞,也可作及物動詞。用作及物動詞時常以硬幣、鞭子、書頁等作賓語。

flip的過去式和過去分詞是flipped。

flip還可用作名詞,意為“輕撣,輕拋”。例如:He removed the crumb with a flip of the thumb and forefinger.他用拇指與食指輕輕撣去面包屑。

flip還可用作形容詞,意為“輕率的,無禮的”。例如:He is really a flip person.他真是個無禮的家伙。
