perform的基本意思是“履行,執(zhí)行,完成”,多指完成某項(xiàng)事業(yè)或較為復(fù)雜的工作,可接表示任務(wù)、責(zé)任、奇跡、功能等抽象意義的名詞作賓語,也可與表示手術(shù)、實(shí)驗(yàn)等具體意義的名詞連用。perform偶爾還可作“提供”解。

perform可用作及物動詞,也可用作不及物動詞。用作及物動詞時(shí)接名詞或代詞作賓語。作“表演”解時(shí),還可接雙賓語,其間接賓語由for引出。作“演奏”解時(shí),表示樂器的名詞須由介詞at或on引出。
