noise的基本意思是“噪聲”“喧鬧聲”,指刺耳、尖銳的聲音,有時(shí)是混合的或多種聲音夾雜在一起,含有使人不愉快之義。noise作“喧鬧聲”講一般只用其單數(shù)形式。在表示各種不同的聲音時(shí)可用noises。
noise也可泛指一般“聲音”,既可用作可數(shù)名詞,也可用作不可數(shù)名詞。
