rejoice用作及物動詞時,以事物作主語表示“使…高興”,以人作主語表示“因…而高興”。可接名詞、代詞、that從句作賓語。

rejoice用作不及物動詞時,后可接動詞不定式短語或介詞in, at, over等引起的短語表示欣喜或慶祝的原因。
