somebody是不定代詞,多用在肯定句中,指未知或沒有明言的某人,用作主語時謂語動詞用單數(shù)形式,其相應(yīng)的代詞一般用he, himself或his,在非正式用語中也可用they, themselves或their。

在反意疑問句中,當(dāng)陳述部分的主語是somebody時,在非正式語體中附加疑問句的主語往往用they。

somebody也可用作名詞,意為“重要人物”。例如:He thinks he is somebody in his own village.他認(rèn)為自己在村上是一個有影響的人物。
