acquaintance的基本意思是“了解”,指知曉某方面的、由經(jīng)驗(yàn)而非研究得到的具體知識(shí),常指稍微的了解,是不可數(shù)名詞,但有時(shí)可加不定冠詞,尤其是有定語修飾時(shí),表示某種程度的了解或認(rèn)識(shí)。
acquaintance還可作“相識(shí)的人”解,指一般的認(rèn)識(shí),泛泛之交,多用作可數(shù)名詞,也可用作集合名詞。
acquaintance后常接with引起的介詞短語。
