recollect，remember和recall的比較：三者都可表示“回憶，想起”的意思，但用法不同。recollect與remember一樣，主語必須是人，而recall既可以人為主語，也可以事物為主語，常見的結構為recall sth to sb；

recall的基本意思是“想起”,一般指通過有意識地努力去“回憶”“回想”,主語一般是人,有時也可以是物。引申可指“召回”“撤銷”。

recall既可用作不及物動詞,也可用作及物動詞。用作及物動詞時,可接名詞、代詞、帶疑問詞的動詞不定式、動名詞或that/wh-從句作賓語。

recall常接介詞from表示“從…召回”; 接介詞to表示“召回”“迫使(某人)恢復”。
