指“大約”的意思時(shí)，表達(dá)方式有about ten，about half等。注意ten和half都是明確的數(shù)量，about不該用在“多少不定”的詞前，如about more than ten，about less than half；

與at搭配使用時(shí)，about是副詞，沒(méi)有at時(shí)，about 是介詞。句中可有at，也可沒(méi)有，意思相同。 I went (at) about five (o'clock).

about + 不定式，表示“即將要去做某事”。 Don't go out now - we're about to have lunch.

about與動(dòng)詞go組成短語(yǔ)時(shí)，為副詞，意為“著手做，從事”。
