warn的意思是“警告,告誡”,強(qiáng)調(diào)及時(shí)發(fā)現(xiàn)正在來(lái)臨的或可能發(fā)生的危險(xiǎn)或冒險(xiǎn),給人以忠告,從而可能避免危險(xiǎn)或難堪的處境。

warn只用作及物動(dòng)詞,可接名詞、代詞、that從句作賓語(yǔ),也可接由that從句充當(dāng)直接賓語(yǔ)的雙賓語(yǔ)。warn還可接以介詞短語(yǔ)、動(dòng)詞不定式充當(dāng)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)的復(fù)合賓語(yǔ)。

warn可用于被動(dòng)結(jié)構(gòu)。
