compare with與compare to的區(qū)別:compare with 的意思是“把……跟……比較”，一般用于兩個(gè)同類事物之間，著重區(qū)別。compare to的意思是“把……比作……看待”，一般用于兩個(gè)不同性質(zhì)的事物比較。 She compares me with my sister.她把我和我妹妹進(jìn)行比較。 We may well compare the little girl to a kitten.我們可能把這個(gè)小姑娘比作小貓來看待。

當(dāng)compare用作不及物動(dòng)詞時(shí)，解釋為“比的上”，“值得比較”，只能用with，不能用to；

否定形式可表示為not to be compared with/to；

compare together的表達(dá)中，together是多余的。

compare的基本意思是“比較,對(duì)照”,主要用于比較事物的典型特征及其價(jià)值,而不在于比較相同與不同。

compare用作及物動(dòng)詞時(shí)接名詞或代詞作賓語(yǔ),用作不及物動(dòng)詞時(shí),主動(dòng)形式常具有被動(dòng)意義。

compare接with或to可表示“與…相比”,接to還可用于比喻,意為“比作”。接with還可表示“比得上”,這種用法常出現(xiàn)在疑問句或否定句中,且常與can連用。
