information作為“資料，信息，情報”的意思時（除了指控意外），是不可數(shù)名詞，沒有復(fù)數(shù)形式，也不能加a。但是可以說a piece of information和an item of information來表達一則信息；

information后可接that從句。不過注意We have received the information that ...的句式中，the經(jīng)常省略。 I rang him up on getting the information that he had returned from his trip.

for your information表示“供你參考”，屬于公文和商業(yè)通信里的術(shù)用。 For your information I may say that we have already done our best.我要說的是我們已經(jīng)做到最好去供你參考。

Information用在問訊處前時，表示是可以讓大家來咨詢，因這里有信息。
