interpret的基本意思是“解釋”“說明”,指具備相當(dāng)智力或?qū)ｉL(zhǎng)知識(shí)的人用言語或表演把某事物展示得更清楚; 還可引申表示“翻譯”,主要指口譯。
interpret可用作及物動(dòng)詞,也可用作不及物動(dòng)詞,用作及物動(dòng)詞時(shí),接名詞或代詞作賓語,還可接以as短語充當(dāng)補(bǔ)足語的復(fù)合賓語。
interpret后可加介詞in,表示“以…(方式或語言)解釋或翻譯”,接for表示“為某人翻譯”。
