v.(動詞)announce的基本意思是“宣布,宣告,發(fā)表”,指以語言或文字首次公開地、正式地使人知道。引申義一是“通報某人到達”,大聲喊出其名字; 二是“主持,介紹”。announce還可指不通過文字或語言的“預(yù)示”。
announce多用作及物動詞,后接名詞、代詞或that/wh-從句作賓語,有時還可接以“to be/as+ n./adj. ”充當補足語的復合賓語。announce有時還可引出直接引語。可用于被動結(jié)構(gòu)。
announce偶爾也可用作不及物動詞,如“作廣播員”“宣布參加競選”“宣布支持某人”。
