somebody是不定代詞,多用在肯定句中,指未知或沒(méi)有明言的某人,用作主語(yǔ)時(shí)謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)形式,其相應(yīng)的代詞一般用he, himself或his,在非正式用語(yǔ)中也可用they, themselves或their。

在反意疑問(wèn)句中,當(dāng)陳述部分的主語(yǔ)是somebody時(shí),在非正式語(yǔ)體中附加疑問(wèn)句的主語(yǔ)往往用they。

somebody也可用作名詞,意為“重要人物”。例如:He thinks he is somebody in his own village.他認(rèn)為自己在村上是一個(gè)有影響的人物。
