resolution后可接不定式，不接of或for和動名詞形式。 He made a resolution to study hard.他下決心好好學(xué)習(xí)。句中的to study不可改成of/for studying。

表示個人的“決心”時，用resolve多過resolution。 He is still keeping his resolve.他仍然堅持著他的決心。

表示“堅決性”時，多用resolution。如good resolutions和a new year's resolution；

resolution同motion的區(qū)別：通過一個motion時，往往會伴隨著執(zhí)行的動作，是需要被做的。但一個resolution僅僅只是表述一些真實的或有利的決議，不需要被執(zhí)行。

resolution作“正式?jīng)Q定,決議”解時,可接動詞不定式作定語,也可以接that引導(dǎo)的從句作同位語,但從句中的謂語動詞要用虛擬式。

resolution作“決心,決定”解時也可接動詞不定式作定語。
