This gallant troop, after being forced to yield the Pasir Panjang Ridge the night before, withdrew to Bukit Chandu or Opium Hill. 這勇敢的連隊(duì)在失去了第一防線后,退守到鴉片山據(jù)點(diǎn)。
Opium Hill, or Bukit Chandu in Malay, constituted the British final defence parameter against the invading Japanese army. 鴉片山(武吉產(chǎn)都,馬來(lái)語(yǔ)),在當(dāng)時(shí)是英國(guó)軍隊(duì)設(shè)立防衛(wèi)日本侵略軍的最后防線。
