on the ball
這個(gè)詞組最早使用在球類運(yùn)動(dòng)之中，教練經(jīng)常會(huì)提醒運(yùn)動(dòng)員“keep your eye on the ball”，也就是讓運(yùn)動(dòng)員把注意力集中在球上，以獲得最佳表現(xiàn)。現(xiàn)在就引申為“做事內(nèi)行；機(jī)警的；有見識的”。
