So that the manslayer who kills a person by mistake and unwittingly may flee there. And they will be to you as a refuge from the avenger of blood. 3使那無意中誤殺人的，可以逃到那里。這些城可以作你們逃避報血仇之人的庇護處。

The cities shall be to you as a refuge from the avenger, so that the manslayer will not die until he stands before the congregation for trial. 民35:12這些城、可以作逃避報仇人的城、使誤殺人的不至于死、等他站在會眾面前聽審判。

But after the death of the high priest the manslayer shall return to the land of his possession. 若有在地上流人血的，非流那殺人者的血，那地就不得潔凈（潔凈原文作贖）。

And if the avenger of blood pursues after him, they shall not deliver the manslayer into his hand, for he struck his neighbor unwittingly and had not hated him previously. 5若是報血仇的追了他來，長老們不可將他交在報血仇之人的手中；因為他與別人素?zé)o仇恨，是無意中殺了人的。

Then you shall designate for yourselves cities to be your cities of refuge, so that the manslayer who kills any person unintentionally may flee there. 12這些城可以作你們逃避報仇之人的庇護處，使誤殺人的不至于死，直等他站在會眾面前受審判。
