我們都早早就學(xué)過skin作為人的皮膚的意思，形容某個人的皮膚就會用到dark/fair/pale/tanned skin暗黑／白皙／蒼白／棕褐色的皮膚
但除了人有皮之外，其實水果蔬菜動物也都有皮那么描述它們的皮我們都會用到哪些詞呢？
skin個詞最常見，意思也較多，我們先從詞典上一一認識一下

這么看來我們生活中大部分的皮都可以用skin來描述，但是也有一些特殊情況的需要我們用到另外的詞，比如說
peel
the skin of fruit and
vegetables,
especially after it has been removed（尤指水果和蔬菜被削掉的）外皮

zest
the skin of an
orange,
lemon, or lime, used to add
flavour to food(用于調(diào)味的)橘皮，檸檬皮，橙皮

foods(某些水果或食物的)外皮，外殼，硬皮

它們之間有什么區(qū)別？
區(qū)別不是特別大。只有當遇到特性特別明顯時，你需要注意區(qū)分。
當我們把某種皮當作調(diào)味料來說時，就用zest。
Peel常指柑橘類、香蕉等的皮。橘子皮，檸檬皮，香蕉皮、蘋果皮的皮都可以用peel。指可以削或者可以剝的皮。Peel也可作動詞，意思是“使水果或者蔬菜的皮與本身分離”，不能用在動物上。
Rind描述皮時則指那些較厚較堅硬的皮或者殼，像是西瓜的皮。它也經(jīng)常與芝士和肉搭配。
Skin作為名詞時可以用在蔬菜，某些水果，當然還有人和動物身上的。
